Painting Cade's Town BLUE!

Brad has been working hard this week on getting Cade's room ready for him. The 1st step was to paint it blue. These pix don't show the color accurately. It looks like it is a light blue, but it is actually a medium/dark blue and very bright, which I love! It turned out better than I could have hoped. The color is great and Brad did an exceptional job. The bead board is in the works and pix will be posted soon! Cade is so proud of his daddy's hard work!

22 Week Growth Spurt

The Cade Man is showing himself more and more each day! My belly is growing steadily. As I type this, his daddy is working hard on his room putting up the bead board! Pictures will soon follow!

I am IN LOVE with another man!

Brad and I went to get a 3D ultrasound a few days ago. It is so awesome how clear this picture is of him. Of course I am bias, but I think he is the cutest, most handsome, sweetest baby boy ever! I already have this picture framed and Brad and I stare at it every chance we get. We still cannot believe we (well God actually) created this miracle inside my tummy. Cade is moving around more and constantly reminding me that he is hanging out with me all day. It makes my day when I feel my little monkey doing somersaults. It is crazy to love him so much already and we haven't even met him yet!

Our Little Man at 18 weeks

I am a bit technologically challenged, and could not figure out how to get these ultrasound pix posted. I can use Adobe no problem, but for some reason this blog won't use that format. I finally ran to Kinko's today so I could get these posted and show off our little miracle. The technician pushed some button that made his eyes look popped out.... it looks kinda strange, but nonetheless, he is still my handsome buddy. :) This is a pic of Cade rubbing his eye. His head is on the right side and that is his arm rubbing his eye. Poor guy must be so tired from his mommy working so hard on getting his nursery all set up.

Such a stylish little man

I just couldn't stop myself from picking up these adorable outfits for Mr. Cade. I just hope there are enough days in the month for him to be able to wear all of his clothes!

Cade is learning to share already!

Too funny! There is a drawer at the bottom of Cade's crib. Today Chewy walked into Cade's room, crawled under his crib from the backside, and then jumped into the drawer. It looked like he was in jail. He stayed there for about an hour. I think Chewy wants to remind us that he is still the baby for a little while longer. It was so cute... I send Brad to run for the camera!

20 Week Doc Appt.

We had our 20 week Dr. appointment today. Doc says that Cade weighs 1/2 a lb. and he is in the 50th percentile. She said everything looks good and we are still on track for our July 6th due date.
Cade is supposedly the size of a banana. Is it crazy that he still fits in my belly so comfortably. I hope he enjoys it now before he gets cramped in there!
I am still feeling great! No complaints on my end. Still eating for 5! :)
We then got to hear his heartbeat, which always makes our day. Brad gave Cade a little pep talk on the way in and told him to get in position so we could hear him well... it worked! We heard a strong, loud heartbeat. We are still beaming from ear to ear after that sweet sound.
We love you Monkey! Daddy can't wait for his surfing and golf buddy.

Sk8ter Boy

Our little man is going to be so hip with these new 'Vans' socks that just arrived. These are so darn cute, I HAD to have them for Cade.

Building the Cade-Room.... Part 2

As promised, Cade's crib was delivered today. The directions were not nearly as easy as they were for the dresser. Although it took more concentration, Brad and I showed the crib who was Boss and got it assembled in a few hours! I LOVE it! Now we are just missing our little monkey to go in it! Is it July yet?

Half Way There!

We are now at week 20 which means we are half way there until we get to meet our little man. We can't wait for the next 20 weeks to hurry up! The only good thing is that it still gives me time to finish the books I have been reading to help prepare me for little Cade's arrival. I asked Brad when he was going to start studying and he said, "I will read the cliff notes and just ask you." Must be nice not to be worried like I am!

Building The Cade-Room.... Step 1

Brad and I got rid of a bunch of our furniture this past week to make room for Cade's new nursery set. We spent 3 hrs this evening putting together his dresser. We had a blast! We made a great team and had so much fun assembling his first piece of furniture. Good thing we had fun because his crib arrives on Wednesday!

Valentine's Day Surprise

I woke on Valentine's Day morning to not one, but TWO cards! One from Brad and the other from my little boy. The cards made my day! It was so sweet of Brad to get me a card from Cade. I love my boys so much!

It's A........ Boy!

Here is the card we opened to find out that little Cade Man was cooking in my belly!

LOVE this bedding!

What do you think? This is my new favorite bedding.... modern yet chic!

This is the furniture we just ordered. Thanks for the crib Mimi & Poppy!

Kissing Cousins

I thought this was the cutest picture ever! My sister-in-law Aimee showed Brennan (my nephew) the ultrasound picture of Baby Cade. He pointed and said baby (baba)! How cute is that? I can't wait for the cousins to meet and play together. This picture was priceless! Thanks for sharing Aimee!

Wasting No Time

After hearing the news, I decided I needed to shop NOW:) It was an EMERGENCY! Our little Cade Man had no clothes! I bought a bunch of cute outfits and started filling the closet. What fun that was! Then I decided it was time to start planning the nursery. I can't decide.... what do you think? The 1st one shows a few green and brown fabrics that would be made into a patchwork style bedding set. I love the colors for a baby! This surfer set is just an idea - not the exact set. It seems more for little boys, than a baby... although I like it too.

What's your vote?

THINK BLUE!!!

We had just left the Doctor and had to drive to the restaurant before revealing the results that were safely sealed in this envelope. We were so giddy and so excited for the big news!
We gave the envelope to the waitress and asked her to open it in order to reveal the news. If it was a girl, we asked her to bring us pink lemonade. If it was a boy, bring diet coke. She used to-go cups so that we couldn't see the color. Only when we tasted the drink would we find out the news! Brad went first......

Then it was my turn. It took a minute to register what I was tasting.... I thought I tasted carbonation but couldn't be sure. I had to open the lid and check the color just to be sure.

IT'S DIET COKE...... I mean IT'S A BOY! It has been little CADE in my tummy all along! We are so glad we can call our little miracle by name now. It was really cute to see Cade rub his eye during the sonogram. It is amazing to see him do that already at this early stage.

Tomorrow is the BIG day!!!

So tomorrow is the BIG DAY!! We get to find out whether we are having a little man or a little angel girl. We cannot wait! Wish me luck sleeping tonight, because last night was a joke. I could not stop thinking about the big day... I tossed and turned all night. I can only assume that tonight will be worse. I cannot believe that in less than 24 hours we will know what our family addition will be. Okay Baby J.... work with us on this one... show us the goods, please:) We LOVE you so much! Mommy and Daddy are going to have the Doctor write your gender on a card and then we will find out over dinner tomorrow night. Only YOU know the big surprise right now.... ahhhh, tell us, tell us!

xoxoxoxoxo,
Mommy

P.S. Here is a new pic of you in my belly. It was taken today after work.
