Go Cade Go!

I can hardly believe it! Cade went potty on the toilet again this morning! It is so strange how easy he is doing this because we weren't even thinking about potty training until he was at least 2 yrs old. I better read up on the subject now... or maybe not... Cade seems to be doing pretty darn good on his own. Who knows if we continue on this route, but pretty cool nonetheless! Go Cade Go!

Pee Pee!!

Cade is such a big boy! He went pee pee on the potty tonight! On this potty to be exact:I was using the "facilities" and Cade pointed and said, "potty potty!"
I asked, "do you wanna go pee pee on the potty?"
He nodded and said, "yes".
Thinking he was crazy but figuring it was worth a try, I took his diaper off and put him on the potty. Sure enough, after a few minutes, he went pee pee! I was so excited and made a HUGE deal out of it. I then started chanting "pee pee on the potty - pee pee on the potty" in which Cade joined in and we were both chanting it down the hallway as we came to share the news with daddy. I am so proud of him! We haven't even started thinking about potty training as he is only 20 months old. We'll have to wait and see if this was a 1 time thing, or if he will 'perform' again.
I also weighed the big boy because he has felt so much heavier lately. He weighed in at a whopping 24.2 lbs!
Cade is still obsessed with balls. Here is his vocab:
"rocca ball" - soccer ball
"backa ball" - basketball
"tee ball" - tee ball
He is also speaking in complete sentences:
"I wanna go to park/beach mama"
He amazes us daily and we just love our little bubba to death!

Someone Has Her 1st Tooth!

Little Miss Berks is now in the Big Girls Club! She got her 1st tooth!

Here's to more pearly whites and hopefully not much pain for our sweet angel!

I'm Too Sexy For My Clothes

After Cade's bath I left him in a diaper only because it was 80 degrees in our house. (Living by the beach, we have no air. Poor us, huh? :) So he was happily playing and then he disappeared into his room. He came out like this:Don'tcha just love a man in boots?

Cade: From 20 Months to 3 Yrs in 20 Minutes

I had been on the fence about getting Cade's hair cut recently. It was getting a bit long and could look messy at times (aka after sleeping on it), however, both Brad & I loved the 'surfer look' and especially those adorable curls... "curls for the girls" as Brad calls them. Well, I finally bit the bullet and decided to go for it. (Brad protested the haircut, FYI:)

As you can see, Cade did NOT want to wear the smock! He was very adamant about not putting it on. Maybe it wasn't manly enough for him. Ha!

He wasn't too sure what was going on and if he liked this or not. My mom bribed him with this blue lollipop.

And there ya have it! It turned out very cute I thought. I do like it a tad longer so in a month it should be perfect. But boy oh boy... it sure makes me baby look so much older! I do not like that part:(

We got to the car and Cade looked at himself in the mirror. His hand shot directly up to his head where he touched his hair - ha! I guess he noticed something was missing.

Cade did such a great job! We came home later and played with his "woca ball" (soccer ball). Fun for all:)

Katie, Meet Berkley

My best friend Katie is in town - out from Oregon! The kiddos and I met her and her family in Laguna for a bite today and then some park time. This was Katie's 1st time meeting Little Miss Berks:)
It was SO great seeing you guys today Katie! I have missed you so much! xo

Sibling Smooches

When Cade wakes from his nap, Berkley & I always go in their room to get him up. The past few days, he was still laying down (as opposed to standing up) when we walked in. I laid Berks down in Cade's crib next to him.... his reaction was so sweet:)

Cade is so sweet with her... it melts me. He truly does love his little sister. We'll see how long this lasts - ha!

teWinkle Park

Tami & I took the kids to teWinkle (yes, I spelled it right:) Park yesterday. This is a great park right by the OC Fairgrounds. My favorite part is that there are a few ponds... which means we got to feed the ducks! The kids had a blast!

Cade did NOT want to get out of this swing. Such s cool swing huh? Looks like a lazy boy to me! He and Sofia shared the seat. They were adorable together - Sofia kept running her fingers through Cade's hair and then they were putting their arms around one another. They even held hands at one point! Too cute!

Tee Ball!

Brad bought Cade this tee-ball set and boy does he love it! We couldn't even get him away from it to eat lunch today. Ha! I am pretty darn impressed with Cade's skills.... see for yourself:

Brotherly + Sisterly LOVE

I just love watching these 2 interact....

I often catch Cade entertaining Berkley. He will go over to her and tickle her or just talk to her. And she always gets a huge smile on her face when she gets attention from her big bro. It is so darn cute to watch them interact.
This morning Cade woke up before Berks and he kept saying, "I wanna see Ba Ba (baby)." He was so excited when she finally woke. I love that Cade has a buddy to play with:)

Little Crush

Cade Man has a little crush on a particular mouse.... Minnie Mouse to be exact. He absolutely loves her. Yeah, he also likes Elmo & Abby too, but Minnie is his favorite by far. You can imagine his excitement when we saw her today at Disneyland. We just had to stop for a picture.He was so excited, however once we got close up for the picture, he got a little nervous and he held on to me very tight!

We met Audra & Marley at Disneyland. These 2 were so cute together....

And while Little Miss Berks is still too young to enjoy Disneyland, she still had fun hanging out in the Becco carrier. I think Berkie might be just as smiley as Cade was/is!

Mimi & Poppy

We were getting ready to go see my parents yesterday and Cade suddenly went quiet while I was bathing Berkley. This is how I found him in his room:Rocking away in his ricking chair "reading" Goodnight Moon. So cute!

We then drove an hour to see my parents. Mom is on the road to recovery after her back surgery last week. We met them at On The Border for lunch before heading back to their place.

10 Hours!

Do I dare say it out loud? I don't want to jinx it. The kids are now consistently sleeping in the same room and we couldn't expect it to go any better. Berkley slept for 10 hours straight last night!! From 7pm to 5am (sans the time change) - that is through the nigh for sure. Little Cade is still asleep as we speak. Can you tell how happy I was when I woke up this morning? :)Brad & I are loving having the "roommates" together. We often go in and peak on them and smile to ourselves. It is so darn cute to see them sleeping just feet from one another. I am crossing my fingers that our "good sleepers" continue this way. I only wish we would've put Berkley in her crib earlier. Not only for our sake, but she is obviously so much more comfy and happy in there!

Berks Has Slept Through The Night!!

It is official! Berkley went to bed (in her crib remember) at 6:45pm last night. We did not hear a peep until 3:30am this morning! That is 8 hrs and 45 minutes!!! I jumped up, grabbed her before Cade would wake up and took her into the living room to feed her. I then laid her back in her crib. It was unbelievable how perfect that went.
To make matters even better, I was then able to head to the gym by 4am and bang out 7.25 miles on the treadmill while watching Jersey Shore and be home by 5:05am in time to shower for work. When I got home I snuck in their room to take this shot (it is dark in there of course, but my flash makes you think otherwise):

It's hard to see Cade but he is against the guard rail on the right side.

Cutie Pie

Little Berks is 5 months old yet she is wearing some 6/9 month clothes! Gotta love her little rolls and chubby cheeks.
