Here is the time I had to leave the house...
This is what Cade was doing as I left...
And this is what Brad & Chewy were doing....
And here I am! Rise and shine:)
I picked Sally up and we were on our way. Here we are putting our timing strip on our shoe.
Posing for a pic about 10 minutes before starting time.
Look at all these people! I think they said there was about 10,000 runners! Everyone was anxious as we waited for the race to begin.

Rock n Roll marathons have bands along the course. Here is one of them (under the white tent)...
Some people dress up and wear funny outfits. I guess Elvis is still alive!?
Here we are in action...
At mile 6, we picked up this guy. We started chatting with him and he ended up running the race with us. Pretty darn impressive if you ask me... he is 64 years old! Come to find out, Jeff is also running the Vegas marathon. So we are going to run it together. He is doing the half and I am doing the full, but we can at least run the first 13 miles together. It is SO MUCH EASIER to run with someone. That way the conversation distracts you from thinking about how much farther you have to go.
Then at mile 10 we pickled up this girl... Christine was making fun of me for being a "Mommy Blogger" as she calls it. It was pretty funny... we started in a group of just the 2 of us, and ended up with a group of 4!
Rock n Roll marathons also have cheerleaders along the course to give some encouragement and entertainment. Jeff took a minute to give the girls some high fives!
Another band...
The scenery...
Running backwards to get a quick pic of me. We are almost done. This was around mile 12. At this point Sally & I left Jeff & Christine so we could sprint the last mile in.
Griffith park...
Only half a mile to go!
We're done! Woo hoo! Such a great feeling. We finished in 2 hours and 7 minutes. Not bad. Although we did have to stop once for a restroom break. Rats! I hate having to stop because we stop, but the clock doesn't.
