All Dressed Up

We went to a 1 year olds birthday party on Saturday. I had to get a pic of Berkie all dressed up because I thought she looked pretty darn cute:)We must've had a great time because these 2 pooped out early.

And so did lil' Miss Berks...

I, however, enjoyed me some quiet time:)

Trip To San Diego

We had a 3 day weekend last weekend, so we planned a trip to San Diego's Gaslamp district with Brad's cousin Tammy, her husband Josue, and daughter Sofia. We had an absolute blast with them!

We took a short stroll to Horton Plaza since our rooms were not quite ready. Here are the older kiddos coloring in Nordies...

Yay! We got our rooms! Time to unpack and relax for a bit before heading out!

On our stroll down to Seaport Village. We thought it would be a perfect place for the kids to run around.

We headed out at about 4pm each night.

This was so darn cute. This older man was singing Frank Sinatra songs and Cade was having the time of his life dancing...

And he loved this little girl he met out on the dance floor. Wonder why?? Look who's on her shirt! (Video coming soon of Cade in action on the dance floor.)

We came back to Tami's room so the kids could run around and we ordered a pizza from next door. It was perfect! No trying to wrangle the kids to sit still in a restaurant. We could eat and have a few drinks - it was so easy that we did the same thing on our 2nd night. Happy kids = happy parents.

The next morning, the 4 Jacobsens got up and went on an 8.5 mile run... yep, back down to Seaport Village and onto the boardwalk. It was so nice to have a change of scenery. Here we are, ready to go! (We even found a gym right down the street! This location is now perfect! We must go back!)

Came back, showered, and got ready for the San Diego Zoo! The gang's all here!

My favorite! Too bad they aren't very nice animals... they sure are cute though!

Our darn stroller is so wide that it often causes issues... the boys had to lift it up so that we could get it up the escalator! Don't worry mom, the kids weren't in it:)

Came home from the zoo, napped the kids, grabbed lunch and brought it back to the room for some R & R. We then had a repeat of the night before. Back to Seaport Village. The big kids had a blast on the carousel.

Pizza time in the room - take 2! The kids were much happier rough housing in their jammies than sitting still in a stuffy restaurant:)

After all of this fun we were pooped! Brad & I had the same idea.... take pictures while we slept. We were nervous about us 4 sharing 1 room. We thought the kids would wake each other up. We were pleasantly surprised though....

That trip was perfect. Kids even slept from door to door for the almost 2 hr car ride. When do we get to go back!?

Berkley, The Rockstar!

Berks slept for almost 8 hours last night!! She slept from 6:45pm to 2:30am! The bummer though, is that she is sick. She has been very upset (ie screaming for long periods) and I knew she was sick with a runny nose, nasty cough, etc. but I didn't think there was much the Doc could do. However, I took her in to see the Dr. last night because her cry seemed something far more painful than a runny nose. Turns out, the poor angel has an ear infection - just like her Big Bro had a few weeks ago. I gave her some Tylenol after our appointment, and she fell asleep pretty quick after. And the next thing I knew, it was 2:30am! I'm sure the meds had something to do with it. But, boy was she a Rockstar! It was sooo nice to sleep uninterrupted for a while. It made it that much easier to get up at 4am for the gym this morning! Thanks Berkie! Mommy hopes you feel better soon, Love Bug! We want our Berkie feeling like her old self soon!


Berks & Cade had so much fun with Grammer today while Mommy worked till 11am.

Look Who Turned 18 Months!

We love you so much Cade Kendall! You bring so much joy and laughter to Mommy & Daddy! We just adore your vivacious personality. You are such a goof ball and we love you to pieces! Daddy & I are constantly laughing at your antics. You are such a great big brother to Berkley. She has a great role model that she can look up to one day. Thank you for being the best son we could ask for!

Berkie Turns 3 Months!

Don't you just love her pose!? Ha! I laid her down and this is how she chose to pose for her 3 month portrait. Such a little ham, that girl!

I cannot believe that our sweet girl is already 3 whole months old! She is such a lover girl and oh so sweet. We just love her to pieces! And her big brother does too! He is often running over to her to give her kisses:)

Airplane Park

Brad used to go to this park as a kid, and I went once that I can remember... so it was fun to take Cade & Berks yesterday. Cade loved flying the plane!


And little Miss Berks slept right through all the fun!

Cade & Nash

Cade, Berkley & Nash got to hang out the other day. It is so cute to watch the boys play together. Love that they will grow up together just like Steph & I did. Even though she lived in Arizona and I lived in Texas (then moved to Cali), she & I used to spend the whole summer together every year. One month at her house and then one month at mine. We have so many fun memories from those days:) I wonder if Cade & Nash will do the same...

Meeting the Characters

Now that Cade is almost 18 months, we were excited to take him to Disneyland to see the characters. He loves watching The Mickey Mouse Clubhouse and knows all the characters by name, so we thought it would be fun to see them in real life. First off was Goofy... just like Santa, Cade liked to see him from afar, but once we were up close, he got verrrry nervous. Berkley was fine though... I wonder why?! :)

Little Berks was happy as a clam at Disney... can we say 'double chin'? Hee hee.... love this little girl so much!

Then it was on to see Minnie. Boy oh boy.... mommy is a bit jealous. I have been replaced. Cade Man has a new love in his life. Ever since we saw Minnie, that is all we are hearing about! "Minnie! Minnie!" I am no longer the main woman in Cade's life... how sad:(

What a great day we had yesterday! It was incredibly packed, but fun nonetheless.

Such a Ham!

Cade after some chocolate ice cream...And here he is playing with his sister. He kept putting the purple phone up to her ear and saying, "Hi Baba". Too cute!

And here he is kissing her tummy. When he gives kisses, he always says, "Muah".

I just love this little boy so much! He is in such a fun stage right now. And little Miss Berks is as cute as ever. She is awake more now and smiling tons. Brad & I are so blessed with 2 happy, healthy kids! Thank you Jesus!
