39 Week Update

We had a Dr. appt this morning... our 39 week appt to be exact! I have felt nothing - no Braxton Hicks - zip, zilch, nada, nothing. Therefore, the Doc assumed that nothing has started to 'happen' down South. Well.... we were extremely surprised and excited to hear the news!

1.5 cm dilated
75% effaced
head is at a -1 station

Hopefully Cade will be here next week!! Come on Baby Boy... Mommy & Daddy can't wait to meet you!!

Message From Daddy

The Note Awaiting on Cade's Door.... :)

C is for....CADE!

Brad and I went to Disneyland last night to see the new show - World of Color. It was really good! Cade was kicking like crazy so I think he liked it too:) I had to take a picture outside the gates in front of the "C". I cannot wait to take a pic of Cade in this same spot:)
Here are a few pix of the water show... my camera didn't do too well but you can get the idea.

Lazy Days

So relaxing... it doesn't get much better than this! Brad and I decided to head to Palm Springs for a little R & R. We figured we could make it home before the contractions got bad. Luckily, Cade decided to stay put. I made sure to get drenching my belly so that Cade didn't get too hot!
Brad was the entertainment with his handstands. He was very proud of his trick:)

Here he is - my gymnast! All he needs is his little man to play with. Next year he will have a playmate to play around with in the water! :) Make that next week - hopefully!

They're Baaack!

Just when I thought I was free and clear of the cankles, they came back to haunt me! In fact, both of my legs have turned into tree trunks - yuck! How much longer!?At least Brad has no problem relaxing.... must be nice to have no side effects! He and Penny were caught taking a nice nap.

38 Week Update

Good news! Cade is head down and estimated to be about 7 lbs. We still have 10 days to go. Brad thinks Cade is going to come early and I think he is going to make a late entrance... or be 'fashionably late' as we call it. What do you think?

Another Special Dad

If there ever was a Daddy's Girl, you're lookin' at her. My dad could do no wrong. I loved going to Friday night football games with my dad and falling asleep in his lap. I also loved that he was my #1 cheerleader at all of my soccer games. The one thing that sticks out in my mind though is that he always put himself last so that my brother, mom and I could be first. He drove the cheaper car, etc, and would sacrifice to give to us. I got my math skills from my dad, and I have to admit, I also got my stubborness from him too... sorry dad! :) Here is a pic from when the 4 of us went Whale Watching.Dad, I love you so much! No matter how old I get, I will always be your little girl. I cherish our close bond and thank you for being so involved in my life. You mean the world to me and I thank God for you daily. How did I get to be the lucky one who gets to call you 'dad'? I can't wait to watch you bond with Cade. He is so lucky to have you as his Poppy.

1st Father's Day

Brad got 3 Father's Day cards...
one from Chewy & Penny
one from Me
& one from Cade His little boy Cade will be decked out in Dodger apparel & a shirt in honor of his daddy:)

Daddy got some reading materials too:)

After opening gifts, we put Cade's Pack 'n Play together and the babies had to test it out.

We then finished off the morning with a huge breakfast! What do you think..?? Will Brad be a great dad, or what!? I cannot wait to see him in action! Cade is such a lucky guy to get Brad as his daddy. Brad is already so protective of his little man and loves to talk to him through my belly. He still sings Twinkle Twinkle every night before Cade and I go to bed. Brad informed me yesterday that he wants to surf while holding Cade in his arms so that Cade gets to have this awesome experience right away. I am a bit apprehensive about this...what do you think!?

CANKLES!!

Yep, these are MY feet!! Can you believe it!? Good thing it is summer and I can wear sandals since not much else fits. Help, I can't find my ankles! Weird that the right foot is so much worse. Here are my boys... Brad likes to make fun of my cankles, so I had to put a picture of him:) Must be nice to sit and relax while the wife is working around the house, right?? Gotta love these boys. They are very anxious to raise the score by one and get their teammate Cade soon! Penny and I will be outnumbered.

Cade's Room Is Waiting For Him...

Here is the latest, and final addition..... Cade's curtains! Ta-dah..! And the rocking chair pad that is reversible...

As you can see, his bookshelf is already full! Gotta love his beach pail in the bottom right corner. We bought a huge beach umbrella today too! We are ready to hit the beach!

Cade's place to rest...

And last.... this Little Man has more clothes than we do! I just can't resist all of the cute surfer clothes! I can't wait to dress my little Surfer Boy!

Pre-Term Labor or Kidney Stones?

Wednesday was quite a scare... again! While at work, I had TERRIBLE contractions which caused my hands to become paralyzed, my face to turn white, and my body to break out in a complete sweat. Thinking I was in pre-term labor, the office ladies at work called 911 to have an ambulance rush me to Labor & Delivery while Brad followed behind. After 3 attempts (in between contractions) at a PAINFUL pelvic exam, the Dr. concluded that I was not in labor, 'just' passing kidney stones. I say 'just' because from what I hear this is more painful than labor. Unfortunately, they would not give me an epidural.... I had to survive these contractions on my own. I am not sure if I passed it or not... we will see if these pains come back again. One thing is for sure - I am much more nervous about labor now. I cannot seem to get that pain out of my head! The only positive from this experience is that it forced Brad and I to get the carseats installed! All Brad kept thinking on the way to the hospital was that 'we are having a baby today and we have no way to get him home'!
