M-I-C-K-E-Y M-O-U-S-E!

Yesterday, Brad & I took Cade on his very first trip to.... yep, you guess it.... DISNEYLAND! As you can see, Cade was fast asleep from the car ride. Here we go to look for Mickey....

Almost there! The magic is right inside those gates! Can you feel our excitement!? Note: Our little mouseketeer is still dreaming of butterflies:)

We're in! First stop... The Mad Hatter to get Cade his 1st set of mouse ears. Brad volunteered to model them, since the Cadester was still dozing.

Back view...

The next 3 pix were taken later in the evening, but I might as well show Cade modeling his own mouse ears now!

All decorated for Halloween:) I just LOVE the holidays at Disneyland. Gets me in the spirit.

This is my favorite pic.... the 3 of us in front of the castle.

And then in front of Small World... yep, our Little Man is STILL asleep!

This was taken from our spot in line of Small World.

We took Cade out of the stroller to get in line and he still stayed asleep! So much excitement must've pooped him out.

As we get in the boat and start the ride, he is just beginning to wake up. Yay! Now the real fun can begin!

Cade was bright eyed looking around... (although the pic looks otherwise:)

So much to see!

Look at us! Who would've thought Cade would be at Disneyland on a boat at 15 weeks old!?

More eye candy!

One last pose with Daddy while grabbing a pizza on the way home:)

What a FUN time we had! Everything is so much bigger & brighter when you see it through a child's eyes. I kept telling Brad that I felt like a little kid again. I cannot wait to see Cade's eyes light up when he gets old enough to comprehend what's going on:) Until then, I will kiss & cuddle my Little Man like it's going out of style.

I'm Flying!

Cade & I have a new game we like to play. Cade LOVES it! I had him laughing out loud the 1st time we played:) Go ahead... take a look... you know you wanna:)

This Week's Happenings

Cade & I spent the night with my parents Monday night. We try to do this every other week or so. We get dinner and watch Dancing With The Stars. I love it. Cade & Mimi were pooped and needed a cat nap...
Cade is loved:) His 1st Halloween cards...

Last night's story time before bed... we are reading Bible stories:)

Chewy & Penny wanted to join in for story time too!

This is Cade's favorite sleep position. He favors his left side. My favorite part of the day is when he wakes up. He makes little noises so I know he is awake. I walk in always to be greeted by his huge gummy grin:) LOVE IT!

Cade's Dedication

Today was a GREAT day! Brad & I had Cade dedicated at our church, First Christian Church in Huntington Beach, CA. We were so grateful for ALL of the family to support us. We had grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins there to witness Cade's dedication.

Here we are on the stage. We were the first in line to be announced.... in true 'Brad fashion', he had to walk out with Cade held high in order to show him off. Everyone laughed as I told Brad to 'tone it down'. It was pretty funny though as Brad got the crowd laughing. Everyone LOVED Cade's newsboy hat!

Afterwards, we took pix outside... here is our clan:) Thanks to everyone for driving out to join us and for supporting Cade Kendall!Whoops! These 2 girls missed the family pic... here are my cousins, Steph & Nat.And here is our family pic... the Jacobsen trio...Afterwards we all went to lunch at Bucca di Beppo. Say Cheese!Grammer with Cade! Cade is pooped after his big stage appearance! The gang...These are the flowers we got from the church. A white rose for the Mom and her compassion, a red rose for the dad and his leadership, and a wide rosebud for the baby who has yet to bloom. The church also gave us Cade's very 1st Bible. I just LOVE it!Mimi & Poppy gave Cade this little prayer lamb. When you squeeze his belly he says a goodnight prayer. Can this be any cuter!? This is now Cade's nightly ritual:)The card that came with the lamb...Aunt Nancy, Tori, Matt, & Robbie have Cade this super cute outfit... The back says: "Shine like stars in the universe..." Philippians 2:15

Along with shoes that say "Child of God".... adorable! And an adorable blankie that says: "You teach me wisdom O Lord" Psalm 51:6. Thanks so much, Nanc!

Here are the cards that Cade received...Mommy's note to her Kenny.... We LOVE you Cade Kendall! My heart literally lives outside my body. You have stolen my heart and run away with it. I love you more than life itself. I never knew a love like this. How much more does Jesus love us!? I cannot wait to watch you grow and become a man of God.
xoxo,
Mommy

Our Family of Pumpkins

Cade was admiring our family as if we were pumpkins.... don't you see us? The biggest one is Brad, followed by myself. The middle guy is Cade and the 2 itty-bitty ones are Chewy & Penny of course. I don't know about you, but even as pumpkins, Cade is the cutest!

Kickin' Back With Daddy

I walked in the room to find my boys (yes, Chewy is one of my boys too!) relaxing while watching some football. The way Cade was sitting was too cute not to capture. Looks like a little old man in his 'recliner' with his button-down shirt.
Love this Daddy-Son moment:) Or 'male-bonding' as Brad says.

Cade's 1st Trip To The Pumpkin Patch

What a fun day! Brad & I took Cade to his 1st ever PUMPKIN PATCH!! Can you tell how excited he is!? :)
But first I had to deck him out in his Halloween outfit.

Gotta love the hat!

And these adorable socks!

Oddly enough, we could not find a pumpkin patch by our house. Didn't these things used to be on every street corner when we were kids?? Brad's mom told us about one at Strawberry Farms in Irvine. We were assuming it was just a little standard patch. Boy were we wrong! This was like nothing I had ever seen before! There was a line to park b/c the lot was so packed. We had to park pretty far away and walk. This place was a mini Disneyland. Tractor rides, corn field mazes, petting zoo, etc. We have just made our 1st family tradition. I can't wait until Cade is old enough to enjoy all of the activities! (Regretfully, I didn't get pictures of these fun activities since Cade was too young. Wish I would've taken pix though just to show you how neat this place was.)

Here we are walking in to the patch. Many of the pumpkins are still attached to the vine. They even have wheelbarrels to borrow to carry your pumpkins...

Stopping for a quick pose...

The Jacobsen team:)

Isn't it crazy how huge this place is!? I never knew anything like this existed. Brad & I felt like little kids again. We had a blast!

My handsome boys:)

This is my favorite picture! This memory will last a lifetime. Thanks for the tip Marge!
