Berkley, The Rockstar!

Berks slept for almost 8 hours last night!! She slept from 6:45pm to 2:30am! The bummer though, is that she is sick. She has been very upset (ie screaming for long periods) and I knew she was sick with a runny nose, nasty cough, etc. but I didn't think there was much the Doc could do. However, I took her in to see the Dr. last night because her cry seemed something far more painful than a runny nose. Turns out, the poor angel has an ear infection - just like her Big Bro had a few weeks ago. I gave her some Tylenol after our appointment, and she fell asleep pretty quick after. And the next thing I knew, it was 2:30am! I'm sure the meds had something to do with it. But, boy was she a Rockstar! It was sooo nice to sleep uninterrupted for a while. It made it that much easier to get up at 4am for the gym this morning! Thanks Berkie! Mommy hopes you feel better soon, Love Bug! We want our Berkie feeling like her old self soon!


Berks & Cade had so much fun with Grammer today while Mommy worked till 11am.

Look Who Turned 18 Months!

We love you so much Cade Kendall! You bring so much joy and laughter to Mommy & Daddy! We just adore your vivacious personality. You are such a goof ball and we love you to pieces! Daddy & I are constantly laughing at your antics. You are such a great big brother to Berkley. She has a great role model that she can look up to one day. Thank you for being the best son we could ask for!

Berkie Turns 3 Months!

Don't you just love her pose!? Ha! I laid her down and this is how she chose to pose for her 3 month portrait. Such a little ham, that girl!

I cannot believe that our sweet girl is already 3 whole months old! She is such a lover girl and oh so sweet. We just love her to pieces! And her big brother does too! He is often running over to her to give her kisses:)

Airplane Park

Brad used to go to this park as a kid, and I went once that I can remember... so it was fun to take Cade & Berks yesterday. Cade loved flying the plane!

Cade & Nash

Cade, Berkley & Nash got to hang out the other day. It is so cute to watch the boys play together. Love that they will grow up together just like Steph & I did. Even though she lived in Arizona and I lived in Texas (then moved to Cali), she & I used to spend the whole summer together every year. One month at her house and then one month at mine. We have so many fun memories from those days:) I wonder if Cade & Nash will do the same...

Meeting the Characters

Now that Cade is almost 18 months, we were excited to take him to Disneyland to see the characters. He loves watching The Mickey Mouse Clubhouse and knows all the characters by name, so we thought it would be fun to see them in real life. First off was Goofy... just like Santa, Cade liked to see him from afar, but once we were up close, he got verrrry nervous. Berkley was fine though... I wonder why?! :)

Little Berks was happy as a clam at Disney... can we say 'double chin'? Hee hee.... love this little girl so much!

Then it was on to see Minnie. Boy oh boy.... mommy is a bit jealous. I have been replaced. Cade Man has a new love in his life. Ever since we saw Minnie, that is all we are hearing about! "Minnie! Minnie!" I am no longer the main woman in Cade's life... how sad:(

What a great day we had yesterday! It was incredibly packed, but fun nonetheless.

Such a Ham!

Cade after some chocolate ice cream...And here he is playing with his sister. He kept putting the purple phone up to her ear and saying, "Hi Baba". Too cute!

And here he is kissing her tummy. When he gives kisses, he always says, "Muah".

I just love this little boy so much! He is in such a fun stage right now. And little Miss Berks is as cute as ever. She is awake more now and smiling tons. Brad & I are so blessed with 2 happy, healthy kids! Thank you Jesus!

Best Bath Toy Ever!

Like most kids, Cade loves the bath. However, since we only have showers and no bathtub in our home, he still bathes in the kitchen sink. Bummer, I know! Lately, he is over his old bath toys so I wanted to find him some new toys to play with. Look what I found! The funny thing is that he wanted this starfish before I could even get the batteries in. I gave it to him and turned it on and all it did was make a humming noise since it wasn't in water yet. For some reason, he loved it - funny how he was attracted to a toy that did nothing. Until..... we got the bath ready and put it in the water.... man does he L.O.V.E. this thing. I must admit, it is pretty cool - until he tilts it and it shoots water out of the tub and onto the kitchen floor!

1st Christmas as a Family of Four

We have a family tradition for Christmas Eve. Church, then out to dinner, then home to get ready for bed in our Christmas jammies. Unfortunately, I only got 1 pic from Christmas Eve. This is at church. We go down to the kids' room so that Cade can play (and the kids can cry) while we watch the service on TV.

The next morning, we were up and ready for breakfast and then some gifts. Berks (& Penny) was the 1st one ready:) (Sorry, I forgot to turn the picture).

Talking on his new Elmo cell phone... to his "buddy". He always says, "Hi Buddy!" And he also continually asks, "Wha Dat?" He wants to know what EVERYTHING is... I love his curiosity and his eager to learn all the time.

Berkley got a few more pieces to add to her ever growing wardrobe:) Yes, the more frilly, the better - ha!

After gifts, we showered and headed over to Brad's brother's house for more gifts and delicious food. Then on to the beach house with Brad's family. We had a great time. We were very blessed this Christmas. Happy Birthday Jesus!

Double Doctor Appointment

Both Cade & Berkley were due for a doc appt, so we scheduled them together. So glad Brad was off to go with me because they were so sloooow today! Cade had his 18 month check up and Berks had her 2 month (although she is now 2.5 months).
Cade is now old enough to wear a mini hospital gown. It was too cute! Here he is getting measured for his height. He even gets to stand up now instead of laying down to get measured. Such a big boy we have now! :)

Like I said earlier, they were super behind today. Daddy entertained Cade with rides around our room on the doctor's chair!

Length: 31 inches (19.5 percentile) - he is no longer tall for his age

Weight: 22 lbs (7.8 percentile) - we need to fatten this little boy up! :)

Berkley's 2.5 month stats:

Length: 23.5 inches (72.5 percentile) - we have a tall one on our hands...just like Cade was in the beginning

Weight: 11 lbs 8oz (46.8 percentile)

Happy Birthday Mom!

The Jacobsen clan went over to my parents' house on Saturday to celebrate mom's birthday. Berkie dressed up for the occasion:)

And wore a smile:)

Dad & Cade had a blast playing together. Their favorite was playing ball in the hall. I just love watching these 2 play & giggle together.

And here is the birthday girl with her little friends! Berks wasn't too happy at the moment.
