Babymoon Before Berkley Arrives

Brad & I decided that we needed a Babymoon before Berkley arrives in early October. So.... why not head back to our favorite vacation spot... CABO! The hard part about the trip was that we left our pride & joy, Cade, behind for 5 nights. My parents offered to watch the little monkey for us while we laid in the sun, and did nothing but relax. Thanks mom & dad!

It was very hard to be away from Cade that long. I wouldn't do it again, because we missed him so much. I took his picture along and must've kissed the picture 1,000 times a day:)
Unforutnately, I either misplaced or left the camera charger at home and the camera died midway through the trip. Therefore, these pictures are the only ones we got. Bummer!

This was right before we left my mom & dad's house and headed to LAX. Poor Cade had no idea his mommy & daddy were leaving him for a few days.

The flight was a success. We then rented a Jeep to get us from the airport to our hotel.

You can barely see the ocean in this shot... and my People magazine where I caught up on the Casey Anthony trial.

Here's some of my other reading material. Yes, I am hooked on the Casey Anthony trial and had to buy a book about it. I read that thing in 2 days! That girl is so guilty, yet my guess is that they will let her off on reasonable doubt. I hope I'm wrong.

Finally, we made it to the hotel! Our home away from home. This shot was taken from the lobby.

And this was taken from our balcony.

The inside of our room....

This is at Mango, a bar/restaurant on the beach.

Another shot from Mango. See those blue chairs lined up on stage? Those are for the many contests/shows they have throughout the day. It can sometimes get pretty wild but it is always entertaining that's for sure!

Next door to Mango is The Office, a restaurnat on the sand. We had dinner here our first night. We were tired from traveling and decided not to get dressed up to go into town that night. This is what I do all day, every day:) Lay by the pool (yep, in my bikini with my preggo belly for all to see, hee hee) and read one of my books.

Well, that's it. Not too many exciting pictures, but what can I do? Now that I have Cade to pack for which takes so much concentration and thought, my packing gets done in about 30 seconds which means I forget things - like my camera charger. As Brad says, we have the memories in our minds.

Cool Dudes

I did a post a few days ago titled "Double Trouble". It was about my friend Jana & I having a lot of similarities. Well..... here is one more to add to that list.... take a look at our boys:)

This is how Cade & Taj roll:) We took the boys down to the beach today in their twin cars. This was an early birthday gift to Cade from us.
Cade dove right into the sand. He is definitely his father's son.

Unlike his mommy, he doesn't mind getting sand all over himself. Can you see Cade's new ride parked in the background?

It was hot today, although the sun never made it's way out. Regardless, we love summer. Hey summer, can ya stay a while?

These Boots Were Made For Walkin'.... Almost.

Cade is sooo close to walking. He crawls right up to his walker, stands up, and starts cruising around the house. He is even very good at turning his walker around when he runs into the walls. You have got to see this for yourself:)

It's Officially Summertime!

So.... we headed off to Disneyland for a few hours tonight.
This first picture is one of my new favorites! I just LOVE it! And I LOVE this little boy even more!

Happy 1st Father's Day!

Cade (& soon to be Berkley) has the best daddy! Brad is extremely hands-on and very involved in every aspect of Cade's life. Brad & I raise Cade 50/50. We both do equal amounts of work. Brad rough houses with Cade but also kisses, tickles, and loves on him too. Cade loves his daddy. The two are often giggling together. The other day I was out running errands and Brad was on "duty". I came home and the 2 boys were out and about. They had been on a bike ride, and then ended up swimming. Cade is so lucky to have such a hands-on daddy. Seeing Brad as a daddy makes me love him that much more. Brad is such a great father. I always thought he would do a great job, but he has surpassed what I ever thought. I vote Brad for Daddy of the Year! I can only imagine how Brad will be with Berkley. He will be wrapped around her little pink finger nail:)
I love how the boys are having a moment and don't even see me taking their picture.

This is my favorite pic from Father's Day.

Happy Father's Day/Poppy's Day to MY DAD

For those of you who have never met this man... this is my daddy. This is the man that would drop anything in a minute's notice to come rescue me. I remember I got a flat tire a few years ago and I called my dad because I didn't know what to do. Rather than call AAA, he drove over an hour to come help me himself. My dad would sacrifice anything to give my mom, brother and I better than he had. He is the most selfless person I know. He would never miss a soccer game of mine and always told me that I lit up his world. To this day, my dad moves mountains in my eyes.
I could go on and on about my dad. A girl's relationship with her father is extremely important and I am so grateful for how close my dad and I are. He has been involved in every step of my life. I am very much a Daddy's Girl. My favorite was when we had our Father/Daughter dance at Brad & my wedding.... the song I had chosen (actually my dad chose it) for us to dance to started to play and I was shocked!.... my dad had secretly met with the DJ beforehand and they recorded the song with my dad singing it. That was the sweetest, most thoughtful thing. The song is by Heartland, called I Loved Her First.

Happy Father's Day Dad. I feel so lucky that I get to have YOU as my dad. Cade & Berkley have the best Poppy ever! I love you so much!
Love, Mitch

Introducing...Berkley's Palace

We still have 3.5 months until we meet our little peanut - Cade's sister -but we are already set up and ready for Berks to get here and show her precious face. I thought I would show some pictures of her side of the room. Cade and Berkley will be sharing a room.

Here is her crib and bedding.... notice the zebra and cheetah print. Told ya I love animal print! (The curtains behind her crib go with Cade's bedding. Remember she is moving into his room so the room is 1/2 boy and 1/2 girl... and I just LOVE it!)

I have always said that if I ever had a little girl, I would put a chandelier above her bed. Looks like I kept that promise...

Don't you just love how the shelves are split right down the middle? Berks to the left and Cade Man on the right. We are still deciding if we will paint a wall (or two) pink or if we will just leave them all blue.

In this pic you can see both cribs. Can you believe we have TWO in cribs!? Crazy huh?

Here you can see how the closet is split down the middle as well. Good thing the closet is HUGE!Last but not least.... Berk's stool. I was so excited to find this perfect match! Cade has a stool that matches his things too. His is in the shape of a surfboard:) I showed pix of it a while back.

And there ya have it! Now can she get here yet so we can put all of these adorable things to use!? :) Actually, this pregnancy is flying by! It is much different than I felt when preg. with Cade. I am so busy with Cade that I don't have time to sit and count the days like I did with him. Berks will be here before we know it!

Double Trouble

Jana & I laugh at our similarities.

-We have been told we look a bit alike (I guess it's the long blonde hair??)

-We both married a guy named Brad

-We got engaged and married within months of eachother

-We got pregnant 2 months apart

-We both had boys

-I am preggo again with #2....and...... we just found out Jana is preggo again too! We will know soon if she is also having a girl or if she will get another lil man:)Here we are at a Girl's Night Out over the weekend. We were at Shannon's Bachelorette Party and we had a blast!

Tutu Obsession

As I have said before, I am very much a girly girl and love lace, frills, ruffles, you name it. I also love animal print! Poor Berkley is stuck with it:) That said, it is next to impossible for me to pass up a cute tutu (esp. when it incorporates zebra, cheetah, etc) :)
Here are my favorites so far....

Wasting No Time

Brad & I still have to go back to work tomorrow to clean our rooms, submit grades, and tie up loose ends, however, as of today (last day for the students) we are on SUMMER TIME!!! We took Cade outside this afternoon to try out his new pool. He loved splashing - he almost emptied the pool with all of his kicking:)

Chewy got to come outside on the new patio too! Lookin' comfy Chew:)

As did Penny:)

I anticipate having many more splish splashin' summer days. If only we had a pool big enough for the adults to jump in:)

Last Day of School

My 1st period girls gave me this adorable onesie/tutu for Berkley today. It was the last day of school for the students. I love these girls. Luckily, they are 7th graders so I will see them next year.

I am moving classrooms for next year - so today the students helped me box everything up, move it down to the new room and start decorating. Look how much we got done! It's amazing how quick and efficient these kids can be!

As you can see, there is a lot to still be done. Here is Brad checking out what we accomplished at the end of the day. Brad & I will now be 2 doors down from each other.

I have a bunch of students who volunteered to meet me tomorrow morning to finish the room. I did bribe them with donuts though.... that helped:)

Who's The Boss?

Nash's mom (my cousin Steph) captured Cade & Nash on video the other day. I think Cade liked being the bigger cousin and being able to show off a bit. Steph & I can't wait until these 2 can really play together!

Just a Wednesday 'Hello'

I have been slacking on my blogging lately. Too much going on I guess. Either that, or nothing too exciting worthy of reporting.
Here are a few pix of the Little Man that lights up our lives:)

Cade has now mastered the water bottle:)

Brad & I have 2 days of school left.. wait.... make that 2 HALF days!! We cannot wait for summer. We are so excited to have 2 entire months off with our little boy:)

11 Months Old

Cade turned 11 months old today. This birthday was very hard for me. It is the last birthday where I get to say "Cade is _____ MONTHS". From now on it will be "Cade is ____ YEARS". Why is this so hard for me to swallow?? I am not ready for my baby to grow up and become a big boy. Before I know it, he will be balking at my hugs and kisses. Can't we just push 'pause'??

Well, enough whining for me. Here is my Love Bug's 11 month old pic:
Length: 30.5 inches (80th %)
Weight: 19 lbs 4 oz (9th %)
And here are his 11 month sweet treats. This was my last month making his birthday treats. Next month for his beach birthday party, I will be "upping the anty" (sp?) and ordering some better cupcakes.
Here's to Cade's last monthly celebration. Can I just say 'month' one more time?? Month, month, month, month... month-ity month month! I want to say this word as much as I can this month until the sand runs out on July 9th and my baby turns into a big 1 year old.

You Are What You Eat

Look how big Berkley is getting!! She has been cooking for 22 weeks now.

Or could it be that I have had 1 too many of these:

I think Berkley might come out looking like a burger... no, seriously. This is my lunch E.V.E.R.Y. D.A.Y. To say I crave In-N-Out burgers is an understatement. I literally NEED one on a daily basis. I don't know about these girls craving fruit while pregnant. Sounds like they are underachievers to me... hee hee. With Cade it was Costco hotdogs and donuts. This time with Berkley, both hot dogs and donuts do nothing for me. It is In-N-Out all the way.

Newest News

I am very excited to announce the newest news....
Beginning next school year I will only be working PART TIME!! I will work everyday (M-F) and be done by 11:30am. So I will only teach the first 3 periods instead of my usual 6.

I am beyond thrilled to have more time with these 2:

Cade and The Berks (Berkley). I know you can't see her in the pic, but believe me, she is kicking in my tummy.

I will have about 6 weeks of this schedule with just Cade before Berkley arrives. I will cherish every moment of our 'dates' and one-on-one time. This little boy will get more hugs and smooches than he knows what to do with:) To Cade & Berkley: I can't wait to be able to get so much time with you both. Before you know it, you guys will be leaving Daddy & me and going off to college. I feel so blessed to have this opportunity with you both. Daddy & I love you two to the moon and back!

Mimso With Her GGSons

Mimso with 2 of her 3 great grandsons. Cade (10.5 months) and Nash (3.5 months). Nash is my cousin Steph and her husband Scott's son. We will have to get a pic with all 3 great grandsons when Brennan (my brother & Aimee's son) comes out from Texas next month.
